Sometimes the doctor of your choice may be heavily booked, however there will always be a doctor available for urgent medical cases that are seen on the day.
For continuity of medical treatment we encourage you to see the same doctor. Please advise the receptionist if other members of the family need to consult the doctor at the same time.
Grant Street Clinic general appointments are
15 minutes.
If you expect your consultation may take longer, please advise the receptionist when you call.
When you arrive for your appointment, please advise the receptionist.
Home Visits
Home Visits can be arranged by calling the clinic on (02) 6686 2535.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you are unable to make your appointment, please call to let us know in advance. We can then arrange another appointment time.
Waiting Times
Our doctors, nurses and receptionists make every attempt to keep appointments at their scheduled time.
However, unforseen circumstances may create occassional delays.
We respectfully request that patients be on time for their appointments, as this can delay others after you.
Long Consultations
Standard consultations of 15 minutes provide enough time for our patients to discuss one or two issues with their doctor.
If you would like to discuss several issues, please make a longer appointment time.
Annual health checks, medicals, ante-natal care, pap smears and emotional health issues require longer consultation times.
If you are bringing more than one family member for consultation, a longer appointment will be necessary. Please advise the receptionist when you call.
Telephoning your Doctor
Although most problems are best dealt with in consultation, a doctor will always be available during normal surgery hours for emergency advice.
Our staff are experienced in helping you decide whether the matter requires an appointment, a return phone call from the practice, or urgent advice.
